Install FA Provisioning Framework

 

To install FA, first we need to install IDM.  We are installing FA provisioning framework to install Database for IDM.

[root@fusion1 ~]# hostname
fusion1.appsdbatraining.com

[root@fusion1 ~]# hostname -i
192.168.1.22

[root@fusion 1~]# groupadd dba

[root@fusion 1~]# useradd -g dba oracle

[root@fusion 1~]# su – oracle

[oracle@fusion sw]$ pwd
/u01/sw

/u01/sw is the staging area where all the zips were extracted.

Start Installing FA Provisioning Framework

[oracle@faidm8 Disk1]$ cd /u01/sw/installers/faprov/Disk1

[oracle@faidm8 Disk1]$ ./runInstaller
Starting Oracle Universal Installer…
Checking if CPU speed is above 300 MHz. Actual 1981 MHz Passed
Checking Temp space: must be greater than 150 MB. Actual 366743 MB Passed
Checking swap space: must be greater than 512 MB. Actual 27135 MB Passed
Checking monitor: must be configured to display at least 256 colors. Actual 16777216 Passed

Please specify JRE/JDK location ( Ex. /home/jre ), <location>/bin/java should exist :/u01/sw/jdk6

Click Next

Choose Location and Click Next

Click Next

Click Next

IDM_DB_Prov6

Click Finish

We have just completed FA provisioning framework installation, now we need to install the IDM database using FA provisioning framework.

Next: Install Oracle 11g Database (Identity management database).
