Run Oracle Fusion Applications Repository Creation Utility (Applications RCU)

Previous: Install Oracle 11g Database (Fusion Apps Database)

Fusion Applications stage has both Applications and Fusion Middleware RCUs for Linux, but for Windows only Apps RCU is included in the installer.

We will go ahead with Linux RCU here.  For Linux, the RCU is included in repository_location/installers/apps_rcu location.

Create a directory on physical partition and call it APPS_RCU_HOME

[oracle@fadb8 bin]$ cd /u01/sw/installers/apps_rcu/linux/bin

[oracle@fadb8 bin]$ ./rcu

fadb_dump

Get the DataPump directory from dba_directories from the Fusion Applications Database to copy dump files from staging area:

SQL> select * from dba_directories;

OWNER DIRECTORY_NAME DIRECTORY_PATH
———- —————————— ————————————
SYS ORACLE_OCM_CONFIG_DIR /u01/fadb/product/11.2.0/ccr/state
SYS DATA_PUMP_DIR /u01/fadb/admin/FADB/dpdump
SYS XMLDIR /u01/fadb/product/11.2.0/rdbms/xml

We need to unzip dump files into the datapump directory from staging area:

[oracle@fadb8 schema]$ cd /u01/sw/installers/apps_rcu/linux/rcu/integration/fusionapps

[oracle@fadb8 fusionapps]$ unzip -d /u01/fadb/admin/FADB/dpdump export_fusionapps_dbinstall.zip
Archive: export_fusionapps_dbinstall.zip
inflating: /u01/fadb/admin/FADB/dpdump/fusionapps_dbinstall_latest_03.dmp

Once RCU is loaded into FA Database, we need to create FA response file from FA Provisioning Framework.

Next: Create Fusion Applications Response File
